Deep in the heart of Texas

A strange fuzzy feeling came over me as Elizabeth and I drove into Texas. I felt like I was home.

Very few things were the way I remembered when I left. The two coffee shops I used to worship at had either closed down or cut their hours, paving way for the maniacal domination of Starbucks and Java City. I screamed when I first learned of it. Then I saw the monstrous stores Java City and Starbucks had built, with their store hours perfectly matching the needs of students cramming late at night for exams the next day. Sure beats drinking browned water at Denny’s or Skillet’s.

I also ran into three of my best friends there as well. Funny, because none of them live in Abilene anymore. It was nice to meet up and pick up the conversation where we left off.

So now we’re back with one last week in Sacramento. What do we do now?
