More reflections on Matthew 9

Instruct me in Your word that I may follow You with all my heart, soul, mind and strength.

Are You not the One to come? Is there another? There is no other but You. You alone give me sight to see. You lift me to walk in Your light. You have cleansed me and restored me from the disease of my rebellion. At last, I hear Your word, for You have opened my ears. You have raised me up from the deadness of my transgressions, so that I am finally alive. I have heard Your good news. No, I am not offended, but boast only in the cross.

Woe to me if I do not repent, for You have done mighty works in my sight. Alas, I deserve greater condemnation than the men of Sodom.

Yet, I praise You, Father, for revealing Your Son to me. You would be good to leave me damned, but You pitied me above the wise and understanding in this world.

Indeed, Your yoke is refreshing and Your burden a joy. Keep me yoked by Your Spirit.
