Unreal

Like a floating vapor
I glow unknown
No one knows where I come from

Like the subtle wind
Blown across her hair
Yet I pass through her unknown

I feel so unreal
Imagination unpeeled
With nothing left than a shriveled rind

Like the grass that grows
Trodden and stamped bare
Seasons change and my flesh is torn

I feel so unreal
No substance here

My God
You are ever strong
I am so unreal
I can no longer feel
My heart is stone cold
If it’s even there
I no longer care
No care for humanity
Love’s become a fantasy
I need escape from this shame
I need to feel again
Before it numbs
