11 Podcasts Worth Sticking in Your Ears

On the eleventh day of Christmas, my true love gave to me…
Eleven podcasters podcasting.

Here’s eleven podcasts I think are worth checking out in alphabetical order. Most of them are geared for small businesses and offer free resources.

Business Boutique
Christy Wright’s Business Boutique podcast is primarily geared toward working mothers, but anyone, including dads like me, can benefit from the great advice on running your side or small business.

48 Days to the Work You Love Radio Show
Dan Miller dishes out 48 minutes of inspiration and ideas on how to create work you love. You’ll find acres of diamonds worth of ideas from this podcast.

Chris Brown’s True Stewardship
This show is all about using God’s money, God’s way for God’s glory. No, you’re not going to get guilt-tripped into donating money, but you will get inspired about managing money.

Chris Hogan’s Retire Inspired
Have you ever fallen asleep when someone talks about financial planning and retirement? Chris Hogan will wake you up and get you pumped up with passion for investing in your future.

Chris LoCurto
It might seem strange I listen to three podcasts hosted by a Chris, but Chris LoCurto has terrific insight on leadership and small business culture.

The EntreLeadership Podcast
Of all the podcasts I listen to, I think this one has the best interviews. A must listen for small business owners.

Grammar Girl
Mignon Fogerty helps you with your grammar, which is essential for communicating with coworkers, clients and family. I think my IQ doubled after listening to her show.

The Ray Edwards Show
Ray Edwards shares insight on better writing and ways to promote your products and services.

The Rightly Designed Show
This podcast along with the BoagWorld podcast are the only design shows I listen to. This show is good for learning about WordPress, web design and graphic design.

Work Life Play with Aaron McHugh
I think Aaron McHugh’s got the most relaxing voice I’ve heard on a podcast, period. He’s exactly what this world needs where people expect you to work 24/7 and not have a life. Great to listen to if you’re stressed out.

The Ziglar Show
Kevin Miller, Dan Miller’s son, hosts this podcast which sometimes features clips from Zig Ziglar himself, but also features interviews. I’ve particularly enjoyed the interviews where Kevin and his wife share about marriage.

Anyway, those are eleven podcasts worth listening to. Try a few episodes of each, that way you get a feel for the flow of the show. Some shows follow a very predictable pattern, while others like the ZIglar Show can radically change from episode to episode.

Zoinks! The 12 Days of Christmas are almost up! Check out tomorrow when I share twelve little “stocking stuffers” for your WordPress site.
