Ever wanted to show a video on your website, but didn’t know how? It’s so easy with WordPress.
Imagine you’ve got a promotional video that’s collecting dust on DVD. You’re hoping someone will ask for a copy of the DVD, or you’ve even spent money distributing copies to a select audience.
Unfortunately, people are busy and DVDs can get forgotten in the age of Netflix and Amazon online video.
Instead, try embedding your video on your website using a service like YouTube or Vimeo. These services will take care of hosting the video, and then you can embed the video on your site.
If you’re using WordPress, you’re not going to believe how easy it is to embed a video. I’ve done it for demo reels, portfolios, landing pages, etc.
Steps to embed your video in WordPress
- Upload the video to a popular video platform like YouTube or Vimeo.
- Edit your page in WordPress.
- From the video site, copy the video’s link.
- Back in WordPress, paste the link. After you paste, WordPress should convert the link into an embedded video.
Done. Yep, that’s it!
