If you’ve ever been so lonesome in love
You’ll know where I’m from
If you know where my heart’s been
It’s like a dead end
With no path way
To ease the pain
It’s a night all alone
With no one to talk to on the phone
As time slips away
But most of all
It’s an empty seat
In a car you drive all alone
So now I’m cruising again
With no real reason to leave or go
And that same seat will be cold
So bitter cold from the absence of somebody’s heat
And I’m shivering again
Though it may be warm my blood feels frozen like slush
It sure would be nice if someone would sit in that seat
