How to Get Great Ideas By Following These 10 Bloggers

On the tenth day of Christmas, my true love gave to me…
Ten Bloggers blogging.

“Good artists borrow, great artists steal” – Pablo Picasso

Here’s ten bloggers I subscribe to for ideas, tips, tutorials, inspiration, etc. Most of these focus on web design, WordPress, user experience, and small business.

Boagworld

Paul Boag gives expert advice about user experience. He’s also got a podcast, which is fun to listen to, but his articles get more to the point.

CSS Tricks

Chris Coyier manages this blog that, while sometimes technical in nature, showcases great articles about web design. It’s a great place to go to for CSS or WordPress questions.

Insightly

The team that creates this Customer Relationship Manager (CRM) also writes articles focusing on small business and customer relationships.

MacWorld/PC World/Tech Hive

Who doesn’t want to read about the latest Mac, PC, Android, or whatever tips? They have great tips on how to be more productive with your tech.

Sacramento Business Journal

Shows what’s happening in my neighborhood, and usually a great source for new business ideas.

SitePoint

Articles and short tutorials covering everything from WordPress, web design, entrepreneurship, and more.

Smashing Magazine

Smashing Magazine features in-depth articles about web design and user experience. Did I mention they were in-depth, meaning they tend to be long? Yet, I regularly find them to be gems. They often have lots of freebies.

Social Media Examiner

Articles focusing on social media and how to promote your brand on Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter, etc. These folks will bring to mind social networks you may not have even thought about and give you innovative ways to leverage them.

Tuts Plus

Similar to SitePoint and Smashing Magazine, covering web design, business, photography, and more.

WP Beginner

Focused mostly on WordPress, featuring new plugins or themes you can use.

Of course, that’s not all the bloggers I follow. There’s more, but they have podcasts that I listen to, so I’m going to focus on them tomorrow on the 11th Day of Christmas.
