Roasting Indonesian on the Behmor

Today I took my first crack (no pun intended) at roasting a 1/2 pound of coffee in my new Behmor. The coffee was Indonesian Flores Organic Manggarai, imported through Sweet Maria’s.

I roasted it for 13 minutes using Program B, Profile 1. Some of the beans got jammed in the drum. Next time I’ll use the smaller grid drum for these beans. The roasted beans themselves looked a little inconsistent in size and color. Not sure why. After the beans rest, I’ll taste them in my french press and figure out if maybe I did something wrong. I do recall using my coffee grinder for a few seconds in the middle of the roast. Maybe that sapped enough energy to alter the roast?
